After several years of intensive R&D work we are proud to be developing sustainable solutions for the packaging industry with our industrial partner Kotkamills. By using CHP BAR barrier technology we offer brand owners a solution for the removal of polyethylene (PE) films from the inside of the food packaging.
CHP BAR is already providing sustainability benefits not only for the fast food packaging, but also for more demanding packages, e.g. frozen food and ice cream boxes. Now we have reached our goal of making paper cups completely free from polyethylene! Using CHP BAR enables a compostable solution without PE, improving the recyclability even in countries where the recycling technology is still developing.
The CHP BAR range is a ready-to-use coating that can be applied on-line or off-line, with various coaters or printing equipment. We have solutions for board producers and converters a like, so using novel technologies instead of PE is a real option.
