CH-Polymers is proud to join the VTT led two-year MoPo (Multitechnological recycling for polystyrene) project. The goal of the project is to develop the whole value chain around polystyrene recycling. By joining the MoPo project, we seek to use recycled styrene in our products.

Polystyrene could be recycled and used in WBBCs as recycled styrene.
Polystyrene based fast food packaging trays can be replaced with environmentally friendly natural fiber based solutions coated with CHP BAR, dramatically reducing the total amount of styrene needed for food packaging. When using recycled styrene in our barrier solutions, the need for new styrene is reduced further. Then we can create an even more sustainable food packaging solution.
CH-Polymers also considers recycled styrene a valuable way of increasing the sustainable/recycled raw material content in our other products. In other words, our other binder dispersion products used in paper, paint and nonwoven industries can also get a sustainability boost from recycled styrene. The common goal for all our business units is to minimize the environmental impact of all CHP operations.
